Everything in my life has drawn me to educating, facilitating, and entertaining others around me.
Whether it has been leading kids on nature hikes, exploding chemicals in front of a large audience, or even creating educational YouTube videos, I am constantly fulfilled by any opportunity to help people understand a bit more about their world. I greatly enjoy the challenge of presenting new or difficult concepts in an approachable way, and it is so exciting to witness the “wow” moment when a person understands a concept for the first time!
Having worked as a Program Director for an informal education start up and a science museum facilitator, I understand how important it is to create meaningful experiences for people that introduce them to science and technology in a way that is applicable to their lives. I am passionate about developing the story of knowledge, not just the history of an important figure or how a plant photosynthesizes, but how that knowledge fits into the story of the person learning it.
I aspire to help people become well-rounded, creative, and critical thinkers by helping them make connections between what we learn and our modern world.
